About Me

Hello, I’m Lauren from Dublin, Ireland. I’m a mammy to my gorgeous son who was born late 2025 and a self taught portrait artist who creates detailed portraits of people and pets.

I’ve had a passion for art since a very young age, I was always doing something creative when I was younger. I was very lucky that I was always praised and encouraged by my family and friends which gave me the push and confidence to practice and try harder.

I’m a self taught artist but I had an amazing art teacher in secondary school who taught me so much. Art was the only class I would really look forward to and all my school books were covered in sketches (which explains the bad maths)

Sadly at the start of the first Covid 19 lockdown in 2020, my amazing nana passed away. My first portrait in years was of her and everything started from there, I’ve added a picture of her portrait below. Soon after that I was taking my first commissions.

I’ve now fallen in love with pet portraits and love the details that go into each piece. I love how dogs and cats from the same breed can be so different, each having their own individual look and unique quirks, this is what I aim to capture in each portrait.

I’ve always had a really strong connection to animals especially to my childhood dog Alfie and our crazy miniature golden doodle Lucy. I truly understand the deep love and connection we can have with our pets and I love to bring comfort with my portraits.
